To get this job you must . . .
To be the best spouse you must . . .
To receive answers to your prayers you must . . .
We want to know the answers to important questions!
Jesus gives us the perfect way to receive answers to our prayers! He said: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength (Mark 12:30 NIV).
We live by faith (II Cor. 5:7 NIV) but our primary goal is to love God because Love goes on forever (I Cor. 13:8 TLB). Growing in love for God helps us receive answers to our prayers!
Loving God opens the way for us to receive so many blessings. For example, sickness and tragedies may not be good, but they must kneel before His Word: We know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God (Rom. 8:28 TLB).
There are many good deeds that we can do, but we will still lack spiritual power unless we grow in love for God. God is love, and learning to love Him draws us to Him. Because Jesus loved and obeyed God perfectly, all of God’s power was available to Him. To encourage us onward Jesus said, Learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your soul (Mt.1l:29 NKJV). If you have many problems, I urge you to concentrate on learning to love God more.
How can we learn to love God more? The answers are in His Word. Our love for Him comes as a result of His loving us first (1 John 4:19 TLB). The more we concentrate on what God has done for us the stronger our love for Him becomes. And as we live with Christ, our love grows more perfect and complete (Vs 17). Sometimes we center our attention on all the

things we want Him to do for us. This may seem normal and right, but thinking about our wants can often keep us from concentrating on what Jesus wants us to do.
Ten lepers came to Jesus and He healed them. One of them came back to Jesus, shouting, Glory to God, I'm healed. Jesus said to the man, Stand up and go; your faith has made you well (Luke 17:15, 19 TLB). I believe this man showed that he loved Jesus when he returned to thank and praise God for healing him.
If you have problems that perplex you, consider turning more of your thoughts and attention to all the good things God has already done for you. He provided a way for you to have the righteous of Christ as His free gift: No longer counting on being saved by being good enough or by obeying God’s laws, but by trusting Christ to save me (Phil. 3:9 TLB).
We can learn to think about praising God and do this so frequently that it becomes our natural response to everything. This becomes a channel for the Holy Spirit to teach us how to live victoriously in a difficult world.
Thank Him many times a day for the good things He has done for you and you will keep growing in your love for Him.  Repeat verses such as:  Always give thanks for everything to our God and Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph. 5:20 TLB) until they become so much a part of you that before you know it, your love for God will become stronger than ever before.

Each time I read the passage in Acts 3 and 4, I marvel. Peter and John had paused on their way into the temple to pray when a crippled man asked them for money. But Peter had a better idea. By the power of Jesus’ name – he healed the man.
This created quite a bit of excitement as others realized what had happened. Peter took advantage of the situation and began to preach Christ to those who gathered around. So far, everything was going great. A crippled man had been healed and many were hearing the Good News about Jesus.
But oh, oh. Here came the priests and other spiritual leaders. They were definitely not happy. They did not want the truth about Jesus to be spread. They wanted things to stay as they had been previously. This Jesus had caused them way too much trouble, and they had hoped that with His death things would calm down and they would, once again, be given the respect and honor they “deserved.” How dare these upstarts claim that Jesus of Nazareth was the Son of God! They had no proper education and they knew nothing. What audacity!
So they arrested Peter and John and put them in jail overnight. The next day the apostles were brought before the Sanhedrin where they were questioned. And once again Peter rose to the occasion. He said, It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed (Acts 4:11).

Needless to say, the religious leaders were amazed at the boldness of the disciples. Because the men of the Sanhedrin held absolute power over the people concerning all things religious, most people would just naturally try to avoid offending them. After all, they could easily put Peter and John into prison and “throw away the key” so to speak.
After threatening Peter and John, they finally released them. Where did they go? They joined with the other disciples, and they all began to pray.
Here’s what always amazes me. They did not ask God to protect them. Neither did they pray to be kept out of prison. Rather, they asked for boldness. Boldness to proclaim the Good News of salvation through Jesus alone.
Would we have asked for boldness rather than protection for ourselves? Would I have prayed that way? I am reminded of Jesus’ words in Matthew 16:25 in the Amplified Version: Whoever loses his life [his comfort and security here] for my sake shall find it [life everlasting].
“Lord, may we seek glory for You, and desire Your will, rather than our own safety and comfort.”

I was given Power in Praise by a friend. It has truly helped me to have a deeper relationship with Christ.
SHARON, E-MAIL

I read Power in Praise and then Prison to Praise. I was greatly inspired and have put into practice the principles from your books. I have prayed with several people at work and their situations have been resolved through prayer and praise. JERRY, IN

Words can’t express how your book Power in Praise
has helped me though the years. JANICE, KY

Thank you so much for the hope I received from Power in Praise. My daughter was using drugs and we were so afraid for her life. As I read I began to praise God for what He was doing. She finally cried out to Him and His power led her to a new life. She is now a police officer and distributes your books in jail.
CAROLE, CA

A friend gave me Power in Praise about 15 years ago.
I’ve been employing its principles ever since. It is so
beautiful to believe that God is working out every little thing, and big thing, for His glory and my benefit. I have been teaching my children to praise the Lord ever since they were old enough to speak! It is precious to hear them pray, “Thank you Lord that we lost our game today, we know you have a reason”. At every opportunity I share your book with others. Sometimes I get discouraged because it seems so few Christians have the faith to believe that God works ALL things together for our good, but then I remember to thank the Lord that He is in control and He can reveal His truth to anyone at anytime. I just need to keep thanking and praising Him joyfully. JANICE, CA

I thank you greatly for putting Power in Praise on sale. This book changed my life and that is why I give this book to those in need of Jesus. PATTY, CA

I’m re-reading Power in Praise. It’s awesome! I love your explanation of why we need the infilling of the Holy Spirit. I’m 72 years old and have been a Christian since I was 7 years old. I thank you for the truths you have revealed through your books. FRIEDA, OH

I want to share with you the huge impact Power in Praise had in my life. I am Venezuelan and became a Christian when I was 15. My mom had a copy of your book and I read it when I was about 17 years old. My Christian life completely changed – my prayer life and my relationship with God is more meaningful. I am 33 years old now and I still cherish in my heart the treasure I found in your book and the importance of praise
in prayer! Keep up the good work, God is changing lives through your ministry, it certainly changed mine. NIOSKA, E-MAIL

In 1989 your book Power in Praise helped me so
much. It turned my life around. DEBBIE, FL

I have been a Praise enthusiast since reading
Power in Praise in 1982. This past year my faith was put to the test when I found my wife of 49 years passed away in bed. I had a difficult time saying it, but I did say, I praise you Lord for the passing of my wife Jackie and I know you will make this sorrow work for good. I don’t know how, but I know it will. That prayer was
the hardest prayer I have ever prayed. Each day it gets a bit easier. One of the best things I have ever done in my 72 years of life was to purchase Power in Praise. ED, MD

You recently sent copies of Power in Praise for the Story County Jail and they were well received by the men and women here. Your praise books go quickly. I use your stories in my weekly sermons and encouragement. Please send any other books you have available. DON, IA

Even though the going is rough for while down here. These trials are
only to test your faith, to see whether
or not it is strong and pure. It is
being tested as fire tests gold and
purifies it - and your faith is far more
precious to God than mere gold; so your faith remains strong after being
tried in the test tube of fiery trials, will bring you much praise and glory
and honor on the day of His return.
