I have just read a letter from a prison chaplain in
Pennsylvania who serves 4200 men and women, and
has requested 3000 of our books. What a challenge
this gives me! We can't send 3000 but how many can
we send? Such questions cause me to pray for wisdom!
That very day requests came from eleven other
military and prison chaplains. Please pray for me to
be led by the Holy Spirit. Merlin
We process 16,000 men per year. Many new offenders
coming into the system are “unchurched”. In the past
most were taught Christian values by their parents or
grandparents, but we see this less and less. We have a
great opportunity in the prison system to invite them to
know Jesus Christ. Any books you can provide would
greatly assist us in this mission. CHAP. Breidinger, Grafton, OH
The spiritual needs of the 700 plus women could never
be met without the tender hearts and the willingness to
share that only comes from God's people. Thank you
for the generous way you have supplied strong spiritual
and uplifting reading for our women for the last few
years. Once again we have exhausted our supply of
your books.

I just got home from iraq where i faced charges that landed
me in prison. I was in the Army for 15 years. I read
Prison to Praise and it gives me hope that my life isn't
ruined. Please pray for me. JOSEPH, PRISON CAMP, OR
Thank you for the Prison to Praise books you recently
sent to the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry
Regiment. You absolutely brightened up the holidays
for many of the 800 Paratroopers in our Unit. LTC JENIO, AFGHANISTAN
Thank you for sending Prison to Praise to our troops.
It is with great thankfulness I write to you. Jesus said
it is more blessed to give than to receive and this is a
truth that your ministry has incorporated into the very
foundation of its structure. Your willingness to give is
a testimony of your faithfulness to the call of God. We
praise God for your eagerness to serve. May He make
His face shine on all your praise partners. CHAP. ASHER, COMBAT LOGISTICS REGIMENT 2 |
Thank you for all the books you sent to our troops in
Afghanistan. Many are un-churched and easily discouraged.
Some will not come back to their families
and some of their marriages will not survive the
repeated war experiences. When we send them hope, it
becomes a lifeline. Your generous distribution of
Prison to Praise has brought hope to our troops and
our Chaplains. JACkiE, GA
i'm not sure who brought Prison to Praise to Wayne
Detention Center but I'm certainly glad they did. My
addiction to prescription drugs for pain destroyed my
life, finances, career, and landed me in jail. Two books
lay around my cell for months; the Bible and Prison to
Praise. One day out of desperation I read your book,
followed its suggestion, and prayed for God to help
me. The craving for drugs that had been a part of my
daily life for over five years was gone, and never came
back. A few days later, a miraculous offer of probation
and rehab allowed me to leave. Seven years later I am
drug and alcohol free. Much has changed. I'm married,
have a son, a home and a career again. It's truly been a
miraculous event, and I wanted to share it with you.
Thank you and everyone involved, and especially to
those who distributed the books to my jail. It saved my
life! GEORGE, E-MAIL |
